According to the education background and position requirement of the professionals in the domestic rehabilitation institutions, the Center has launched different types of training models. In cooperation with colleges and universities, we have established academic education related to hearing and speech rehabilitation in China, and jointly carried out professional qualification certification and trainings for hearing-aid fitting consultants with relevant national ministries and commissions. At the same time, we have set up related continuing education courses such as hearing intervention, hearing and speech rehabilitation, preschool special education, speech therapy, mental and psychological intervention. The center also developed and published a series of materials and books, such as professional training and education reform in the field of hearing and speech rehabilitation, vocational qualification training for hearing-aid fitting consultants and audiology training courses.

Academic Education
Since 1995, the Center cooperated with Nanjing Normal University, Jilin University, Shanxi Medical University, East China Normal University, Beijing Union University, Capital Medical University and Binzhou Medical College to train college, undergraduate and graduate students on hearing and speech rehabilitation and trained more than 1,000 professionals for national hearing and speech rehabilitation institutions during 25 years . At present, according to the unified plan of China Disabled Persons' Federation, the Center is actively participating in the preparation of founding China Rehabilitation University.

Certification Training
In 2008, the Center promoted career building of hearing-aid fitting consultant and carried out vocational training and appraisal. CRRCHSI took the lead in setting up an expert group to formulate the professional standards for hearing-aid fitting consultant, and continued to carry out vocational training and assessment since 2008. By now, nearly 1,000 hearing-aid fitting consultants gained the qualifications.

At the same time, CRRCHSI established the Audiology Center which carried out certification training for pediatric audiologists every year since 2009. The training targeted to the professionals in national rehabilitation institutions and designated hearing aid fitting institutions. By far, more than 500 pediatric audiologists have been trained.

Continuing Education
According to the education background, professional title and position requirement of hearing and speech rehabilitation system, CRRCHSI developed and implemented all kinds of professional continuing education courses at all levels, including the national hearing and speech rehabilitation professional rotation training course launched in 2012, and carried out professional technological courses on audiology management in national rehabilitation institutions, adult hearing and speech rehabilitation service, cochlear implant debugging, hearing and speech rehabilitation assessment, ear mold making and audiology. Since 2012, nearly 2,000 professionals have been trained every year.

In order to give full play to the role of demonstration and guidance of provincial rehabilitation institutions, four kinds of national provincial discipline backbone training projects have been launched, including more than 58 backbones in audiology since 2009 and we hold at least one training course every year for these backbones since then. Presently, about 600 audiologists were attended the training courses.

According to the professional needs of audiology in China, the Center cooperated with professional institutions such as Children’s Hearing Foundation in Taiwan, Swiss Sonova Group and University of Southampton in the UK to jointly cultivate national level audiologists and trained nearly 30 senior audiologists.

In 2018, CRRCHSI applied for the Lancang-Mekong River special fund to help Cambodia's national otolaryngology hospital train 15 audiologists.
